What happens when you take Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) through the heart of Sydney, at night, across the Harbour Bridge? This video captures a 40-minute drive starting from the Tesla Showroom in Alexandria, through the Sydney CBD, into the tunnels, and finally gliding over the Harbour Bridge — one of the most iconic drives in the world. Along the way, I was joined by my good friend Manish Vishwanath, and we had some deep conversations about adoption of FSD, future mobility in Australia, and how it could change lives. One powerful moment was when we talked about an octogenarian driver who was delighted by the thought of FSD — because it could mean holding on to his license for longer, preserving his independence and ambulation. That’s the human side of this tech. ❤️ ⸻ ✨ The Positives This was one of the most flawless city drives I’ve had with FSD. • π¦ Unprotected right turns: clean, confident, and human-like • π Merges and lane selection through Sydney CBD traffic felt natural • π Harbour Bridge navigation was smooth, selecting the correct lanes perfectly • π£️ Tunnel driving was seamless before we stopped for dinner ⸻ ⚠️ The Incidents Even with so many wins, there were a few moments that stood out: • π¬ An unnerving lane change seconds before a fork in the road, just after crossing the Harbour Bridge • ⛔ Two false moves where the car attempted to turn left into blocked roads marked with “Do Not Turn Left” signage • π One manual intervention when a car on my left tried merging — FSD stayed a bit too close, and I had to take over ⸻ π£️ Why This Drive Matters Driving across the Sydney Harbour Bridge at night can be intimidating — but honestly, this run felt far less scary than Tom’s Harbour Bridge night drive over on LudicrousFeed. FSD handled most of it with grace and control, giving us a glimpse into the future of urban driving in Australia. This video isn’t just about showing where FSD wins and where it stumbles — it’s about asking what this tech means for real people: older drivers, city commuters, and anyone who wants a safer, smarter way to travel. ⚡ Tesla FSD Supervised vs Sydney Harbour Bridge Night Drive — the wins, the fails, and the future of driving Down Under. ⸻ #Tesla #FSD #TeslaAustralia #Sydney #SydneyCBD #HarbourBridge #TeslaNightDrive #FSDSupervised #TeslaFSD #AutonomousDriving #SydneyTunnels #TeslaCommunity #ElectricVehicles #SmartDriving #TeslaShowroom #LudicrousFeed #evfuture 0:00 - Introduction 1:33 - Driving out of Tesla Alexandria on FSD Supervised Down Under 2:32 - Not holding Steering wheel 3:55 - An octogenarian's perspective of FSD 6:35 - Unprotected right turn 16:05 - Cool merge by FSD Supervised 19:40 - When will we all get FSD 23:56 - Keep Clear 25:17 - Wong Move 29:19 - Sydney Harbour Bridge on FSD 31:51 - WTF Exit from Harbour Bridge
